Loewinsohn Flegle Deary L.L.P.
Jim Flegle is renowned for being one of the state’s leading attorneys. As a senior partner, he draws on his nearly 30 years of experience to represent his clients with skill, innovation, and passion.
Jim is admitted to practice in all Texas courts, all United States District Courts in Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth, Seventh, Ninth, Eleventh and Federal Circuits, and the Supreme Court of the United States. His thorough and aggressive style has earned him a national reputation for excellence.
Jim has worked both sides of the docket in a wide variety of complex commercial matters, including intellectual property, oil and gas, contracts, partnerships, real estate, fraud, employment and professional liability. He regularly represents officers and directors in Sarbanes-Oxley matters before the SEC and in court. He is also experienced in domestic and international arbitrations. Jim spent the first 24 years of his practice at Bracewell & Giuliani (formerly Bracewell & Patterson), serving as the managing partner of the firm’s Dallas office and on the firm’s Management Committee.
In 2007 ballots were sent to more than 60,000 lawyers in the Sate of Texas to name the top Texas Super Lawyers. As a result of that balloting and a blue ribbon panel review, Jim was named as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in the State of Texas and among the top 30 lawyers in the State of Texas located in Dallas.
In 2006, Jim and his partner, Alan Loewinsohn, were named among “The Defenders” by The Dallas Business Journal. This elite designation recognizes “the most brilliant legal minds in the Dallas/Fort Worth area” – an honor bestowed upon only 15 lawyers for their notable work in commercial defense litigation. Jim was also selected for the 2008 and 2007 editions of The Best Lawyers in America, a listing of the top lawyers in America, based on more than two million confidential evaluations of lawyers to lawyers nationwide.
