Loewinsohn Flegle Deary files patent infringement suit against j2 Global
Bear Creek Technologies, Inc. has retained Loewinsohn Flegle Deary L.L.P. to pursue claims of infringement of U.S. Patent No. 6,985,494, entitled "System for Interconnecting Standard Telephony Communications Equipment to Internet Protocol Networks." The '494 Patent claims, among other things, an email-to-fax delivery service that enables subscribers to send fax-destined emails over the internet for receipt by a destination fax device over a dialed telephone line connection.
On May 9, 2007, suit was filed in the Eastern District of Texas against j2 Global Communications, Inc. The action is pending before United States District Judge David Folsom in Texarkana.
