  • Represented plaintiff asserting claims for antitrust, conspiracy, defamation and tortious interference in the down-hole hydraulic pump industry, including Equador operations. Confidential settlement prior to trial. No. H-96-3921; Oil Well Hydraulics, Inc. v. Trico Industries, Inc.; United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division.
  • Brought suit on behalf of Plaintiffs against investment firm, law firm and accounting firm for malpractice, fraud, breach of contract, conspiracy, and breach of fiduciary duty arising out of investment, legal, and tax advise and services. Obtained settlement of $11,800,241.00.
  • Represented Plaintiffs in suit involving claims of fraud, conspiracy, malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of contract in connection with accounting, investment and legal advice and services. Obtained settlement of $10,600,930.00.
  • Judgment in excess of eight million and subsequent confidential settlement in breach of contract and fraud case.
  • Obtained summary judgment for defendant in action involving claims for RICO, fraud, and conspiracy. Affirmed by Fifth Circuit. To our knowledge, this was the first defense summary judgment on a RICO claim in the Northern District of Texas. No. 3-83-2084; Shaffer v. Williams; United States District Court, Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division.
  • Obtained take nothing summary judgment for defendants against claims for insurance fraud, conspiracy, and collusion among insurance companies and law firms. Represented defendant CEO of Farmers Insurance. Also obtained award of $6,000 in sanctions against plaintiff and her attorney. Damages over $50 million were claimed. No. 97-6390; Thompson v. Feinstein, et al.; 162nd District Court, Dallas County, Texas.
  • Represented Plaintiffs in suit involving claims of malpractice, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, and conspiracy arising out of investment, legal and tax advise and services. Obtained settlement of $7,700,850.00.
  • Represented plaintiff in action involving trade debt and defense of DTPA and fraud counterclaims. Defeated jurisdiction objection by defendant Mosaic, a Virginia corporation. Successful settlement prior to trial. No. 348-208952-04; Porcelanite v. Mosaic Tile Company; 348th Judicial District Court, Tarrant County, Texas.
  • Represented Plaintiffs in suit involving claims of malpractice, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, and conspiracy arising out of investment, legal and tax advise and services. Obtained settlement of $3,066,404.00.
  • Represented Plaintiffs in suit involving claims of fraud, conspiracy, malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of contract in connection with accounting, investment and legal advice and services. Obtained settlement of $7,981,813.00.
  • Represented defendant and counter-plaintiff financial institution asserting counter claims for breach of contract, bailment and letter of credit issues. Jury verdict and judgment for defendant and counter plaintiff of $250,000. No. 90-39398; L & S Cotton Systems, Inc. v. First Interstate Bank of Texas, N.A., et al.; 113th District Court, Harris County, Texas.
  • Obtained summary judgment for plaintiff in excess of $17 million on Italian promissory notes. No. 80-32463; Siderurgica Commerciale Italiana v. Duina; 152nd District Court, Harris County, Texas.
  • Represented Plaintiffs against investment firm for claims of fraud, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract arising out of improper investment and tax advice and services. Obtained settlement of $3,421,614.00.
  • Obtained prejudgment attachment and summary judgment for plaintiff exceeding $2.5 million in dispute over contractual obligation in the international construction industry. Affirmed on appeal. No. 79-37966; C. Itoh & Co. (America), Inc. v. Tellepsen; 133rd District Court, Harris County, Texas.
  • Represented Plaintiffs in suit involving claims of fraud, conspiracy, malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of contract in connection with accounting, investment and legal advice and services. Obtained settlement of $7,405,532.00.
  • Represented Plaintiffs in suit involving claims of malpractice, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, and conspiracy arising out of investment, legal and tax advise and services. Obtained settlement of $5,578435.00.
  • Obtained attachment order for plaintiff in multi-state franchise dispute. Favorable settlement prior to trial. No. 81-5001; Hauck v. TRU, Inc.; 190th District Court, Harris County, Texas.
  • Represented Plaintiffs in suit involving claims of fraud, conspiracy, malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of contract in connection with accounting, investment and legal advice and services. Obtained settlement of $6,349,361.00.
  • Represented Plaintiffs against investment firm, accounting firm and law firm for claims arising out of improper investment, tax and legal advice and services. Obtained settlement for $4,057,653.00.
