Insurance Disputes Including Coverage

  • Jury verdict and judgment for plaintiff for $1.2 million on claims alleging insurance code violations, DTPA, and fiduciary duty breach. Affirmed on appeal. No. 82-5300; U.S. Companies, Inc. v. Shaffer; 298th District Court, Dallas County, Texas.
  • Represented reinsurance broker in dispute involving claims for alleged breach of insurance contracts, fraud, misrepresentation, and conspiracy for lottery contract. Favorable settlement for reinsurance broker prior to trial. No. 98-6447; Canadian Olympic Association v. The McCrum Companies, Inc., et al.; 162nd District Court, Dallas County, Texas.
  • Obtained judgment against insurance company in insurance coverage declaratory judgment case. No. 3:01 CV 1096-M; Lincoln Property Co. v. Travelers Indemnity Co. of Illinois, United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
  • Represented defense contractor in dispute with insurance carrier. Successfully recovered for equipment damaged in transit.
